Anything and everything Fungi, from its study to it’s applications. Although historically seen as a branch of Botany (the study of plants), it was discovered several decades ago that Fungi is in fact it’s own kingdom, a kingdom surprisingly more closely related to animals than to plants. 

The Fungi are absolutely necessary and fundamental to life on earth as they play the main role in recycling dead or decaying matter, and as we are discovering in recent years, not only biological matter but also plastics.
